What we are certified in
We hold certification across all four of the platforms we install: KNX, along with membership of KNX Australia, RAPIX at Advanced level, Control4, and Savant. Holding all four matters because it means we can tell you which one suits your project, rather than fitting the one we happen to sell.
What we do
These are the disciplines a project is built from. Most jobs involve several of them, and the value is in how they work together rather than in any one on its own.
Lighting control
Lighting carries the mood of a house more than any other service, and done properly it supports your circadian rhythm rather than working against it. Through KNX we control every widely adopted method: DALI, phase dimming and 0 to 10 volt.
Climate control
Heating, cooling and ventilation on the same system as everything else, adjustable from a wall switch, a tablet or a phone. Remote access means the house is already comfortable when you arrive, and climate can follow solar production rather than the clock.
Energy management
Where a property already has solar and battery storage, we add the logic that makes it pay. Pool heating, air conditioning and hydronic run once production passes a threshold, building thermal mass while the sun is out. Off grid, load shedding drops non-essential circuits as the battery depletes and keeps the fundamentals running.
Home theatre
A dedicated room for films, or a multipurpose space that doubles as a listening room, bar or cellar. Our own theatre is available by appointment: a Sony VPL-XW7000ES 4K laser projector, Lumagen video processing and Anthem AVM in a Dolby Atmos 7.2.4 layout, alongside a 5.1 room built entirely on Sonance invisible speakers.
Multi-room audio
One playlist that follows you room to room, or different music in every zone. In-ceiling speakers double as television audio, which removes the soundbar from the room. We are an independent Yamaha and Sonos dealer, and we build multi-room audio on Control4 and Savant where a project wants one interface over everything.
Network
The network is the part nobody asks for and everything depends on. We deploy Ubiquiti UniFi end to end, from routing and switching through to access points and remote management, and we heat map the residence first so coverage is predicted before anything is installed. Seamless roaming and a correctly built network removes most of what later gets reported as an automation fault.
Security and access
Inception access control, with entry by PIN, remote or app from anywhere. On larger properties we build time profiles so regular contractors have access on the days they need it, revocable immediately and set to expire. CCTV alongside it, standalone or integrated into Control4 and Savant.
How we work
We program what we install. The same team that scopes a job builds the scenes, the schedules and the interfaces, instead of handing it to an outside programmer who leaves at practical completion. Every project is documented and handed over with its files, so the system stays maintainable regardless of who works on it next. We stay available afterwards, because renovations, tenancy changes and new televisions are ongoing work we expect to do.
Recognition
The systems we install get judged alongside the architecture and the build. A residence in Forrest that we delivered the audio, video, theatre and control for was named House of the Year at the 2021 Master Builders ACT Excellence Awards.
The showroom
Our showroom is at 84 Barrier Street, Fyshwick, and works by appointment. That is deliberate. Appointments let us set the rooms up properly for what you actually want to hear and see, rather than leaving you to guess from a shelf. Get in touch and we will arrange a time.
