Why Savant
At a certain level of house, the measure of the technology is how little you notice it. The lighting is already right when you walk in, the music follows you, nobody is hunting for a remote, and a guest can work the room without being shown. That is a harder problem than it sounds, and it is the one Savant is built around.
One app, and it really is one
Lighting, climate, entertainment, shading and security in a single interface, on a phone, a tablet, an in-wall panel, a keypad or the remote. Not five apps with one of them slightly better designed.
Scenes that describe a moment
A scene is named for what you are doing rather than what it switches. Tap Cocktail Hour and the terrace playlist starts, the pool lights fade up as the day goes, and the inside lighting drops to match.
Everyone gets the right amount of control
Profiles for family, guests, and the people who work in the house, so each person has what they need without the whole system. A house sitter should be able to run the house, not reprogram it.

Scenes, not switches
The point of a scene is that nobody has to think about the parts. Evening does not mean eleven dimmers at particular levels, it means the house at dusk. We build these around how you actually use the rooms, then adjust them after you have lived with the house for a few weeks, because the first version is always a guess.
The Pro Remote X2
A machined remote with a colour display that runs entertainment, lighting and climate from the chair you are sitting in. It exists because for all the elegance of an app, most people in a living room would still rather pick something up than unlock a phone.

Whole-house distribution with lossless audio support, a single dashboard across your streaming services, and search that works across all of them at once. Different music in different rooms, or the same album everywhere, without a separate app for each service.

Our commitment on a Savant project
On a house at this level the technology is one of many trades, and it is the one most likely to be blamed when something does not work. Certification is the entry ticket. What follows is how we try to earn a place on the drawing.
- We program what we install. The same team that scoped the residence builds the scenes, the profiles and the interfaces, so nothing is lost between the sale and the commissioning.
- We work to the architect and the interior designer, not around them. Device positions, plate finishes, speaker placement and screen locations get agreed on the drawings early, because the best outcome is technology you cannot see and never trip over.
- Scenes are built for your household, not from a template. Named in your language, tuned to your rooms, and revisited after you have lived in the house for a few weeks.
- Documentation and handover as standard. You receive the system documentation, the device schedule and a plain-language guide for whoever is running the house, alongside a walkthrough for staff if you have them.
- We are discreet in occupied homes. Clean work, contained mess, agreed hours, and no assumption that we can wander through the house because we are on site.
- We stay available after handover. New furniture, a renovation, a new television, a change in how a room is used. Adjustment is expected work, not an imposition.
Common questions
How is Savant different from other high-end systems?
The clearest differences are the single app across everything, the personal profiles so different people get different levels of control, and the Pro Remote for people who would rather not use a phone in a living room. It is also very comfortable with unusual residential briefs. We install several platforms, so if Savant is not the right fit for your house we will say so.
Can we control the house from overseas?
Yes. Lighting, climate, cameras, security and scenes are all available remotely, and the system can alert you if the temperature, humidity or something left running needs attention. This is one of the more genuinely useful features if you spend time away.
Does it work with equipment we already own?
Generally yes. Savant integrates a wide range of third party equipment, so existing televisions, amplifiers, cameras, alarm systems and air conditioning can often be brought under the same interface. We will be straight with you about anything too old or too closed to control well.
Can guests and household staff use it without access to everything?
Yes, and this is one of the better reasons to choose it. Profiles give each person the control they need. A guest gets their room and the common areas. Someone working in the house gets what their job requires. Nobody needs the whole system to make a coffee.
Can Savant be added to an existing home?
Often, though how much depends on what cabling exists. Lighting control and audio in particular are much easier when walls are open, so a renovation is the natural moment. A site assessment is the honest way to answer it for your house rather than a number over the phone.
What about solar, batteries and energy management?
Worth being clear here, because Savant markets a panel-level energy product internationally. The Savant Power System is a North American electrical product and is not part of what we supply in Australia. Energy monitoring in an Australian Savant home is handled through integration with your inverter, battery and metering instead. We would rather tell you that up front than let you find it out later.
